To ease congestion, convicts to be given up to 6 months’ remission

Those sentenced to 10 years or more and left with six months of sentence and those sentenced to seven years and left with five months of sentence will be considered for remission. Convicts sentenced to one year who have up to two months left to complete the sentence will also be considered for release.
