Dog isn’t cattle: Mizoram assembly clears animal slaughter (amendment) bill, 2020

The Mizoram government had mentioned dog as a cattle in the Mizoram Animal Slaughter Act, 2013. The Animal Welfare Board had threatened to move court and had urged the state government to repeal the Mizoram Animal Slaughter Act, 2013, or repeal the “illegal and unconstitutional provision”.
