Detention centre in Assam came up due to high Court order: Former CM Tarun Gogoi

There are six detention camps operating in the state however those are operating from within the jail premises. The first standalone detention camp which will house declared foreigners is coming up in Goalpara district with an investment of Rs 46 crore.
